After the first phase of Assembly elections in West Bengal, BJP President Nitin Nabin stated that the day’s sunset would symbolize the end for the Trinamool Congress. Nabin, participating in a roadshow in Khardaha before the second phase of polling, emphasized the strong voter turnout in favor of the BJP.
Nabin expressed confidence in the people of West Bengal leading the elections, aiming to replace the Trinamool. He highlighted the public’s enthusiasm for voting, emphasizing their focus on the state’s safety and progress. Nabin optimistically projected a two-thirds majority for the BJP and NDA in forming the government.
Addressing concerns over women’s safety under the current government, Nabin criticized the Trinamool-led administration for failing to uphold its ‘Maa-Mati-Manush’ slogan. He warned that the women of West Bengal, dissatisfied with the Trinamool Congress, are seeking change and will play a pivotal role in the election outcome.
Reacting to slogans raised by Trinamool activists during his roadshow, Nabin acknowledged the public presence and extended good wishes to the opposing party. Notably, West Bengal witnessed a record voter turnout of 89.93% by 5 p.m., the highest in the last 15 years.
