Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader T. Harish Rao expressed disapproval towards the Telangana government led by Revanth Reddy regarding the recent movie ticket price increase. He questioned the government’s efficiency and control in light of the controversy surrounding the hike, which was criticized by Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy for being implemented without his knowledge. Harish Rao highlighted the discrepancies between government actions and statements, emphasizing the lack of transparency in decision-making processes.

Harish Rao raised concerns over the governance in Telangana Secretariat, comparing the unfolding events to a suspense thriller. He criticized the government for disregarding the High Court’s reprimand on the ticket price escalation for popular films like ‘The Raja Saab’ and ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’. The BRS leader questioned the accountability of the Chief Minister, challenging the government’s integrity and decision-making authority.

The former minister pointed out the contradictory nature of government actions, where official orders were issued without the knowledge or consent of the responsible minister. Harish Rao questioned the leadership within the government, highlighting the disconnect between public promises and actual policy implementations. He accused the Chief Minister of misleading the public and the Assembly on the issue of movie ticket pricing, calling for transparency and accountability in governance.
