Amid the controversy surrounding alleged embezzlement of donations at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, Union Minister Chirag Paswan emphasized the need for severe punishment for those found guilty to deter such actions in the future. Paswan expressed concern over the impact of such controversies on the faith of Ram devotees, urging the authorities to ensure that no corrupt individual goes unpunished.
Addressing the accusations against the BJP-led NDA government by the Opposition, Paswan criticized the politicization of the issue, stating that it should not be used for political gain. He underscored the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the governments to safeguard the sentiments of Lord Ram’s devotees and prevent any interference with their faith.
In response to queries about the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, Paswan disclosed that the Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas is contemplating participation in the elections. He mentioned that decisions regarding alliances and the extent of participation would be determined by the state unit and the party’s Central Parliamentary Board.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s International President Alok Kumar challenged opposition leaders to provide evidence supporting their allegations of misappropriation of donations at the Ram Temple. Kumar’s remarks were in connection to a letter he sent to the Investigation Officer, urging verification of claims made by leaders such as Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh, and Ram Gopal Yadav.
