The Congress party sent warm wishes to people across India on various spring festivals like Gudi Padwa, Chaitra Navratri, Ugadi, Sajibu Cheiraoba, Chetti Chand, and Navreh. Leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra conveyed messages of happiness, prosperity, and new beginnings on these auspicious occasions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also greeted the nation on the beginning of Navratri and the traditional Indian New Year.

Gudi Padwa signifies the start of the lunisolar New Year for Marathi and Konkani Hindus, celebrated in Maharashtra, Goa, and Daman. Chaitra Navratri, a nine-day festival honoring Goddess Durga, involves fasting and rituals, culminating in Ram Navami. Ugadi, the New Year festival for Telugu and Kannada communities, symbolizes prosperity and renewal with special customs like Ugadi Pachadi.

Sajibu Cheiraoba, the Meitei New Year, is observed in Manipur by the Meitei community, while Navreh, the Kashmiri Hindu New Year, is celebrated by the Kashmiri Pandit community. These festivals reflect India’s rich cultural diversity and traditions, welcoming spring and new beginnings.
