Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh announced the launch of the EV Subsidy portal and the unveiling of the Delhi EV Policy Booklet by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Applicants meeting the criteria can submit their purchase incentive applications online within 30 days of receiving the Registration Certificate (RC) for their electric vehicle. Upon verification of the application and supporting documents, approved subsidies will be directly deposited into the beneficiaries’ verified bank accounts within 60 days of a complete application submission. Minister Singh emphasized the seamless, paperless, and citizen-friendly nature of the process.
Minister Singh encouraged the residents of Delhi to embrace electric vehicles confidently, highlighting the government’s efforts to expand the EV charging infrastructure throughout the city. He called upon industry leaders, vehicle manufacturers, and other stakeholders to act promptly on their investment commitments without delay. The goal is to establish a robust EV ecosystem in Delhi that sets a national standard for clean mobility and environmental sustainability.
