Delhi NCR’s tech ecosystem secured $1.7 billion through 110 rounds in the first quarter of 2026, a decrease from the $1.9 billion raised the previous year. Investors showed selectivity, focusing capital on specific deals, leading to a shift in the capital structure. The number of deals decreased from 153 to 110, with three deals contributing $1.2 billion, representing 71% of the total amount raised.
Late-Stage funding rounds amassed $1.2 billion, while early-stage funding reached $362 million, and seed-stage funding attracted $147 million. Both domestic and international investors showed confidence across all funding levels. Notably, enterprise infrastructure received $869.1 million in Q1 2026, a significant increase from $6.24 lakh in Q4 2025. Environment Tech followed with $434 million, securing the second position in funding rankings, trailed by the enterprise applications sector.
The top three sectors, including enterprise infrastructure, Environment Tech, and enterprise applications, absorbed over $1.5 billion of the total $1.7 billion raised in the quarter. This indicates a clear shift in the allocation of large-scale capital investments. Data center providers led in business models with $710 million from a single round, while advanced solar energy generation and marketing optimization followed with $344 million and $150 million, respectively.
B2C grocery ecommerce, electric vehicle manufacturers, and EV charging solutions also made it to the top ten, although with relatively lower capital allocations of $40.4 million, $49 million, and $27.8 million, respectively. The funding preferences in the capital city emphasized infrastructure durability over consumer velocity, as per the report’s analysis. In Q1 2026, Delhi NCR witnessed 9 acquisitions, matching the count from Q1 2025, while only one IPO listing occurred.
Gurugram emerged as the leader in regional funding, capturing 52% of the total capital in Q1 2026, followed by Noida at 27% and Delhi at 20%. Together, these three cities accounted for 99% of the total funding across the ecosystem.
