In a swift response, Delhi Police’s Bhajanpura Station apprehended three robbery suspects immediately after a knifepoint crime. The stolen purse, cash, and identity documents, along with the knife used in the offense, were successfully retrieved.
The incident occurred on July 7 near Gali No. 11, Mohanpuri, where the victim, Mohd. Hidayatullah, 29, was threatened and robbed by three youths wielding a knife. Upon raising an alarm, the police team, led by Head Constable Shripal and Constable Balraj, acted promptly with the help of locals to capture the suspects.
Sub-Inspector Vivek, along with Constable Yatender, arrived at the scene, took custody of the accused, and initiated legal proceedings. The recovered items, including the knife from Zuhaib alias Zubbi and the stolen purse with the victim’s Aadhaar card and Rs 1,600 from Mohd. Kaif, were secured by the police.
FIR No. 311/2026 was filed at PS Bhajanpura under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and investigations are ongoing. The arrested suspects, identified as Zuhaib alias Zubbi, Mohd. Kaif, and Umar, had no prior criminal records, as confirmed by the police.
The successful operation, which led to the recovery of the stolen items and the arrest of the suspects, showcased the North-East District Police’s dedication to public safety and swift action against street crimes.
