The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved the Telugu film ‘Lenin’, directed by Murali Kishor Abburu and starring Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse, for release with a U/A certificate. Annapurna Studios, the film’s producer, announced the clearance on social media, expressing excitement for its release. The movie has generated significant anticipation, especially after Telugu star Nagarjuna praised the film’s initial cut and hinted at a new experience for viewers.
The release of ‘Lenin’ was initially scheduled for May 1 but faced delays, pushing the premiere to June 26 and eventually to July 10 this year. Actor Nagarjuna, in support of the film’s team, shared the news on social media, emphasizing the dedication and creativity behind the project. Actress Bhagyashri Borse portrays the character Bharathi, the love interest of Lenin in the action-packed entertainer.
The film’s teaser, unveiled on Akhil Akkineni’s birthday, showcases intense sequences reminiscent of the Mahabharata’s final battle. With a powerful tagline, ‘No war is more violent than love,’ the movie promises a gripping narrative. ‘Lenin’ boasts cinematography by Naveen Kumar, music by Thaman, and editing by Navin Nooli, adding to the excitement surrounding its upcoming release.
