Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated sequel has officially been titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and the production team is implementing an unprecedented promotional strategy in Bollywood. According to trade website Sacnilk, the filmmakers have obtained censor certificates for three separate teasers, each tailored for different platforms and audiences—marking a first in Indian cinema marketing.

The theatrical teaser, designated as Teaser 1A, has received a U/A 16+ certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a runtime of one minute and 9.6 seconds. This version will be showcased in cinema halls nationwide. Meanwhile, two additional teasers—Teaser 2 and Teaser 2A—running one minute 48 seconds and one minute 9.6 seconds respectively, have been granted an A rating for adult audiences.

This strategic approach represents the first documented instance of filmmakers submitting three different versions of a promotional teaser to obtain separate CBFC certificates before release. The multi-tiered strategy appears designed to maximize reach across various platforms while adhering to content rating guidelines for different audience demographics.

The sequel arrives on the heels of the original Dhurandhar, which continues its theatrical run and has achieved a remarkable milestone by grossing over Rs 1,000 crore worldwide. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the first installment became the first single-language Indian film to reach this benchmark, joining an elite club alongside Baahubali 2, Pushpa 2, and KGF 2 in the Rs 1,000 crore global earnings category.
