Director Vignesh Shivan’s much-anticipated romantic drama ‘Love Insurance Kompany (LIK)’, initially set for an April 3 release, may face another delay, according to industry sources. Despite an earlier announcement by Shivan about the film’s April 3 release, insiders suggest a possible rescheduling to April 10. The film stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty, with production by actress Nayanthara.
The film’s release has seen multiple postponements, with its original September 18, 2021, release pushed to October 17 due to Deepavali festivities. Subsequently, the release was rescheduled to December 18 to avoid a clash with another film. Following another delay, the film was then set for a February release, which did not materialize. Shivan recently announced an April 3 release, but uncertainties loom over this date as well.
‘Love Insurance Kompany’ has generated significant buzz, especially with Pradeep Ranganathan’s track record of successful films. Alongside Ranganathan and Shetty, the movie features S J Suryah and Gouri Kishen in key roles. The technical team includes renowned professionals such as cinematographer Ravivarman, music composer Anirudh, editor Pradeep Ragav, and stunt master Peter Hein.
