In a show of patriotism and unity, the 73rd edition of Fit India Sundays on Cycle transformed Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium into a colorful display of armed forces’ colors. Over 800 participants, including 60 armed forces representatives and players from the Indian Air Force Cricket Team, pedaled through Delhi’s streets. The event featured dignitaries like Group Captain M.L.S. Prasad, Lt. Col. Dara Singh, Captain Manish Sain, and wrestlers Priya Malik and Diksha Malik.
The armed forces’ representatives led the cycling contingent, emphasizing the importance of fitness for all citizens. Lt. Col. Dara Singh highlighted the event’s message of discipline and healthy living, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a fit India. International wrestler Diksha Malik encouraged people of all ages to adopt active lifestyles for better health and unity.
The event resembled a patriotic fitness carnival, offering various activities like Zumba, yoga, volleyball, and wellness assessments. Participants marveled at the sight of armed forces personnel cycling alongside the public, fostering a sense of pride and motivation. Families and children enjoyed the event, with many expressing admiration for the unity displayed by the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
