Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri joined a trilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi involving India, France, and the United Arab Emirates. The meeting included Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State and Special Envoy for India, and Martin Briens, Secretary General of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France. The three parties reiterated their dedication to the trilateral partnership and established a structured plan with specific timelines.
During his visit, the Foreign Secretary also held discussions with Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Managing Director and CEO of Mubadala Investment Company. Earlier, he met with Reem Al Hashimy, the UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, to review the extensive scope of the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted the positive evaluation of the advancements made following the visits of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to India in January 2026 and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in February 2026. They assessed the progress in various sectors such as trade, investment, defense, security, health, education, and more, building on previous dialogues and joint meetings.
They also discussed new initiatives aimed at strengthening the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Recently, Prime Minister Modi denounced the attack in Fujairah, UAE, which injured three Indian nationals, emphasizing the unacceptability of targeting civilians and infrastructure. He reiterated India’s solidarity with the UAE and support for resolving issues through peaceful dialogue and diplomacy.
