The Special Monitoring Cell of Gujarat Police confiscated Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) valued at more than Rs 1.26 crore in separate operations in Rajkot and Morbi districts. In Rajkot, a raid at the RK-9 Industrial Area led to the seizure of 26,304 IMFL bottles worth Rs 70,38,336, along with vehicles and a mobile phone. An individual named Pareshkumar Patel was arrested in connection with the case, while six others are wanted.
In Morbi, another operation near Vaghasiya Toll Plaza resulted in the interception of 28,912 IMFL bottles valued at Rs 55,74,528. Additionally, a vehicle, mobile phones, and cash were seized. Achala Jat, the driver and owner of the container, was arrested, and two others are wanted in the case. Investigations are ongoing to uncover the full network involved in the illegal liquor supply chain.
