Haseen Mastan Mirza, daughter of the late underworld figure Haji Mastan, has come forward alleging sexual abuse by her ex-husband and other family members. She has reached out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, seeking justice for cases involving sexual assault, forced marriage, and property disputes.
In a recent interview, Haseen detailed incidents dating back to 1996, where she claimed to have been sexually assaulted and forced into marriage at a young age. She emphasized that the abuse she faced was unrelated to her father’s criminal background and only began after his passing.
Haseen, who was a minor at the time of the alleged crimes, stated that she endured rape, mental and physical abuse, and property deprivation due to greed and her father’s wealth. She highlighted the financial motives behind the crimes, with perpetrators targeting her inheritance.
Despite the challenges she has faced, Haseen expressed her desire to protect her father’s legacy from tarnish. She emphasized that her fight for justice is not to defame her father, who she described as a kind man with a positive reputation.
Haseen has been advocating for her case since 2013, citing financial constraints and lack of police support as hurdles in her pursuit of justice. She called for stricter laws to deter criminals and ensure that cases like hers are not overlooked, urging for intervention from top officials to prevent further neglect.
