On the last day of 2025, actor-filmmaker Imran Khan revisited one of his beloved projects—a short film portraying India’s Mangalyaan mission. He shared his admiration for the historic space feat, discussed the creative liberties he took to narrate the story, and praised the talented team that brought his vision to life.

In a recent Instagram post, Imran Khan emphasized not just the scientific significance of the mission but also the art of storytelling. He mentioned signing up in 2018 to create a short film on Mangalyaan, expressing his excitement to honor the remarkable achievement of India’s mission to Mars.

Imran Khan aimed to present the story factually and scientifically accurate while infusing suspense thriller elements. He mentioned incorporating aesthetic choices like tailored looks for characters, a sleek control room set, and subtle references to popular sci-fi works like Star Wars and Interstellar. The actor acknowledged the collaborative effort that went into the film, praising the producer, cinematographer, and cast for their contributions.

Imran Khan, known for films like “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na” and “Delhi Belly,” decided to step away from acting after his 2015 movie “Katti Batti” due to a shift in interests towards personal well-being.
