India’s top men’s doubles team, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, will not participate in the upcoming Malaysia Masters as they focus on managing their schedule following their recent success at the Thailand Open final. The duo, who clinched the silver medal in Thailand, confirmed their decision to skip Malaysia and instead prepare for the upcoming tournaments in Singapore, Indonesia, and Australia.

After their commendable performance in Thailand, where they reached the final but lost to an Indonesian pair, Satwik and Chirag decided to skip the Malaysia Masters to better prepare for the upcoming events. Despite a tough loss in Thailand, the Indian duo showed signs of improvement and determination during the tournament.

Reflecting on their final match in Thailand, Chirag Shetty mentioned that the fast shuttle speed and aggressive playstyle of their opponents posed challenges for them. The duo struggled initially but managed to put up a strong fight in the second game, showcasing their resilience and adaptability on the court.

The Indian pair faced difficulties adjusting to the pace and style of play imposed by the Indonesian opponents, especially on the faster side of the court. Despite the loss, Satwik and Chirag viewed their performance in Thailand as a positive step towards regaining their form and confidence as a doubles team.

Looking ahead, the duo expressed optimism about their progress and believed that they were gradually regaining their confidence and sharpness on the court. They acknowledged the importance of mental strength and confidence in their game, emphasizing the need to believe in themselves and their abilities moving forward.
