Left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey, wicketkeeper-batter Prabhsimran Singh, and seamers Yash Thakur and Ashok Sharma are set to make their debut for the Indian team in the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe starting on July 23. Rinku Singh and Mayank Yadav are also making a return to the Indian T20I squad, captained by Shreyas Iyer. These changes are in place of players currently on tour in England.
Harsh Dubey, who recently debuted in ODIs against Afghanistan, has been in good form with both bat and ball. Yash Thakur, a teammate of Dubey, has also impressed with his performances in recent series. Ashok Sharma, known for his speed, has shown promise in domestic and IPL matches.
Prabhsimran Singh, with notable performances in domestic and IPL matches, is another exciting addition to the team. The series against Zimbabwe will consist of three games, scheduled for July 23, 25, and 26 at the Harare Sports Club. India’s last tour to Zimbabwe was in July 2024, where they emerged victorious with a 4-1 series win.
