JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar explained that K.C. Tyagi’s resignation was not a result of disagreements with the party’s policies. Tyagi, expressing admiration for Nitish Kumar, aims to engage in Uttar Pradesh politics. Kumar mentioned that Tyagi’s decision may have been influenced by discussions with political parties in Uttar Pradesh, emphasizing it as a personal choice deserving no criticism.
On Tuesday, K.C. Tyagi hinted at deciding his next political steps after opting not to renew his JD(U) membership. He announced a meeting on March 22 to discuss the current political scenario. Tyagi stated that his future actions would be determined in consultation with colleagues and political associates, highlighting his commitment to social issues despite parting ways with JD(U).
Reflecting on JD(U)’s history since its formation in 2003, Tyagi recalled his roles within the party and his collaborations with past presidents. Despite his exit, Tyagi affirmed his dedication to issues affecting the underprivileged and maintained his respect for Nitish Kumar. He expressed allegiance to the ideologies of leaders like Chaudhary Charan Singh and Ram Manohar Lohia, signaling his continued political engagement.
