The upcoming episode of ‘India’s Best Dancer Season 5’ will feature Karisma Kapoor acknowledging Shahid Kapoor’s transition from a background dancer to a Bollywood celebrity. After contestant Prince’s performance, Karisma expressed surprise upon learning about his past as a background dancer.
Impressed by Prince’s journey, Karisma drew parallels with Shahid Kapoor’s own path, recalling his days as a background dancer. She highlighted Shahid’s growth in the industry and commended Prince for displaying similar qualities.
Before achieving stardom, Shahid Kapoor was part of Shiamak Davar’s dance troupe in the 90s and often performed as a background dancer in Bollywood songs. Notably, he danced behind Karisma Kapoor in the song ‘Le Gayi’ from ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ and also appeared in ‘Kahin Aag Lage Lag Jaaye’ from ‘Taal’ behind Aishwarya Rai.
Shahid Kapoor made his Bollywood debut in 2003 with ‘Ishq Vishk’ and later found success with films like ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Kaminey’, ‘Haider’, ‘Kabir Singh’, and ‘Udta Punjab’. Interestingly, Shahid was in a relationship with Karisma Kapoor’s sister, Kareena Kapoor, during the early 2000s before they parted ways in 2007.
Currently, Shahid Kapoor is preparing for his upcoming movie ‘Cocktail 2’, where he will be starring alongside Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna.
