Karnataka BJP General Secretary, P. Rajeev, criticized the Congress for using Dalits for political gain nationwide. He highlighted that demands for a Dalit Chief Minister in Karnataka arise when the Congress feels threatened politically. Rajeev stated that the Congress’ promises to Dalits were merely attempts to deceive them, alleging that the community has not received fair treatment under the current Congress-led Karnataka government.
Rajeev pointed out that Dalits have been better served by non-Congress governments across the country. He emphasized that land ownership remains a challenge for many Dalits in Karnataka, accusing the present government of failing to provide land to Dalit farmers. Additionally, he urged a comparison between the land ownership achievements of past BJP governments and the current Congress administration in benefiting Dalits.
