Karnataka BJP President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra expressed discontent within the ruling party regarding Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s Budget presentation. Vijayendra mentioned a sense of disappointment among ruling party members, stating that the Budget did not meet expectations. He highlighted a lack of development in the state over the past years and criticized the Budget for not supporting state progress, benefiting farmers, or creating job opportunities.

Vijayendra referred to a report by Prof. Govinda Rao, emphasizing the developmental lag in Kalyana Karnataka. He criticized Minister Priyank Kharge for focusing on international issues rather than addressing local problems. Vijayendra urged Kharge to prioritize improving health and education sectors in Kalaburagi district and the Kalyana Karnataka region for mutual benefit.

Regarding development, Vijayendra challenged Kharge to a public debate on the progress made during their respective tenures. He also mentioned the release of funds for flight operations in Bidar and criticized the lack of initiative from the state government in developing the airport. Vijayendra highlighted his participation in a party training program alongside senior leaders.
