Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited the national capital for two days and engaged in discussions with Union Ministers regarding crucial development projects and state-related issues. The focus of the meetings was primarily on the pending Narmada river projects. Yadav, along with other state leaders, participated in a high-level meeting led by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah to address the pending matters concerning the Narmada projects.
The discussions revolved around unresolved inter-state issues related to the Narmada projects and strategies to enhance their execution through improved coordination among the states involved. In addition to the Narmada review session, Yadav also met with several Union Ministers, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. These meetings focused on various topics such as defence establishments, railway infrastructure, water resources, irrigation, agriculture, and farmers’ welfare in Madhya Pradesh.
Furthermore, Yadav held separate discussions with the chief ministers of Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra to deliberate on the progress of inter-state projects and bolster collaboration on shared concerns. The objective of these interactions was to expedite the implementation of projects requiring coordination between the central government and the states, as well as to address developmental issues specific to Madhya Pradesh.
The visit holds significance as the state government seeks central assistance for multiple infrastructure, irrigation, and connectivity initiatives, while also aiming to accelerate pending inter-state endeavors, particularly those associated with the Narmada basin.
