Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised the BJP-led NDA’s win in the Assam Assembly elections, calling it a “historic hat-trick.” He highlighted the public’s strong support for development and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s leadership. Shinde, speaking in Guwahati after Sarma’s reappointment, noted the festive mood in Assam, emphasizing the significance of this victory.
Shinde lauded CM Sarma as a “dynamic and visionary leader” who has propelled infrastructure growth and introduced various welfare schemes in the state. He credited Sarma’s leadership for the substantial progress in sectors like health and education, which contributed to the overwhelming mandate from the people. The Deputy CM also mentioned the people’s trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and the commitment to India’s global advancement.
The NDA’s remarkable electoral triumph in Assam was attributed by Shinde to the effective electoral strategy led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He highlighted the success of Shah’s political planning in securing the alliance’s victory in the state. The BJP-led NDA’s victory in the Assam Assembly elections secured Sarma’s continuation as Chief Minister for a consecutive term, marking the third consecutive term for the BJP-led NDA government in Assam.
