Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his successful leadership, surpassing Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s tenure milestone. Shinde highlighted India’s progress in development, economy, national security, and public welfare under PM Modi’s guidance.
Shinde described PM Modi as a dedicated leader with a strong global presence and numerous world records. He emphasized that since 2014, PM Modi has steered India towards rapid economic growth, positioning it as the 4th largest economy globally on the path to becoming the 3rd.
Under PM Modi’s governance, Shinde noted the eradication of corruption and mega-scams, with no proven cases of corruption against the government. He praised the government’s efforts in lifting 32 crore citizens out of poverty and providing free food grains to 80 crore underprivileged individuals.
Shinde also lauded the infrastructure development under PM Modi, surpassing previous administrations in road, bridge, railway, and airport construction. He contrasted the Direct Benefit Transfer system with past corruption, emphasizing PM Modi’s focus on ‘Nation First’ over opposition’s ‘Corruption First’ approach.
Shinde criticized opposition leader Rahul Gandhi for defaming PM Modi and India, asserting that public support for Modi strengthens in response. He questioned the opposition’s unity and highlighted the cohesive working relationship between himself and Devendra Fadnavis within the state government.
