Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing arrived in Gaya, Bihar, to start his five-day visit to India. He offered prayers at the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya. The Ministry of External Affairs welcomed him, emphasizing the strong ties between the two countries.
President U Min Aung Hlaing will visit the Mahabodhi Ekta Dhamma Monastery during his stay. Scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 1, discussions will focus on enhancing bilateral relations. This visit marks his first to India since assuming office.
Accompanied by a high-level delegation, President U Min Aung Hlaing will engage in a business forum and travel to Mumbai for industry interactions. The visit aims to bolster the multifaceted relations between India and Myanmar. In April, Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh attended U Min Aung Hlaing’s swearing-in ceremony.
