Chief Minister Nitish Kumar commended the Bihar Budget 2026–27, presented by Finance Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, for its focus on building a developed Bihar through inclusive and justice-oriented growth. Kumar stated that the budget, exceeding Rs 3.47 lakh crore, reflects the government’s commitment to addressing the needs of all sectors of society, projecting a growth rate of 14.9% for the financial year 2026–27.
Kumar emphasized the budget’s role in implementing the government’s Seven Resolves–3 initiative and reiterated the commitment to providing jobs for 1 crore youth over the next five years. He highlighted provisions such as the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, offering Rs 2 lakh financial assistance to promote employment and self-reliance among women.
The Chief Minister underscored the budget’s aim to provide opportunities for every family, skill development for the youth, and women’s empowerment. He expressed confidence in Bihar’s development trajectory with efficient fiscal resource management and acknowledged the central government’s support. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary also welcomed the budget, noting its contribution to Bihar’s development momentum.
