Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann responded to Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta’s statement about the CBI investigating the Punjab government’s Forensic Science Laboratory report on the video involving AAP leader Atishi. Mann urged the BJP to proceed with the investigation, emphasizing that the forensic report cleared Atishi of the alleged statement.
AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bharadwaj supported Mann’s stance, stating that both forensic reports, from Delhi and Punjab, reached similar conclusions. Bharadwaj questioned the claims regarding the forensic examination for the Assembly, highlighting that the word ‘guru’ was not used as alleged.
Vijender Gupta reiterated his commitment to a CBI probe into the Punjab FSL’s functioning and findings related to the case. He clarified that the FSL report confirmed the video’s authenticity without any alterations or tampering. Gupta explained that the Delhi Assembly had unanimously decided to conduct a forensic examination, which ultimately revealed no manipulation in the video.
