Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari, during the budget debate in the Rajasthan Assembly, revealed significant plans. She declared that government employees who switch jobs during training will no longer have to refund their salaries. Additionally, all state government employees will now have insurance coverage until retirement, addressing a previous gap.
Kumari criticized the previous government for financial mismanagement, highlighting a reduced fiscal deficit projection under the current administration. She detailed various development projects, including funds for road construction, water pipelines, and drinking water initiatives. Moreover, plans for a new Grid Sub Station, an industrial area near Kota’s Greenfield Airport, and advancements in healthcare were announced.
Among other initiatives, Kumari mentioned eye exams for schoolchildren, self-defense training for women, and the expansion of hostel capacities. She emphasized the government’s inclusive approach and welcomed constructive criticism from the opposition.
Responding to education and agriculture spending critiques, Kumari defended the budget, stating a substantial increase in agriculture funding compared to the previous government. She also mentioned land allotment for farmers and extended insurance coverage for employees until retirement.
