Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma revealed plans to introduce Savitribai Phule E-Libraries in every block and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Model Schools in every district to enhance education and social awareness. Additionally, a dedicated panorama and library focusing on the lives of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule will be developed in Hindoli.
Chief Minister Sharma emphasized the significant role of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule in social reform and nation-building, particularly in advancing women’s education alongside Savitribai Phule. He highlighted the government’s efforts, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, to support women’s education, empowerment, and social welfare at the grassroots level.
During an event at the Birla Auditorium commemorating Mahatma Jyotiba Phule’s 200th birth anniversary, the Chief Minister encouraged youth to draw inspiration from Phule Ji’s life and actively participate in spreading awareness about government welfare schemes. He announced the initiation of Savitribai Phule E-Libraries in every block of Rajasthan and the establishment of a Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Model School in each district.
The Chief Minister also mentioned ongoing construction of 16 new buildings for Savitribai Phule Hostels and praised the Mali community for its association with agriculture, referring to them as “Sons of the Soil.” He urged people to engage in the upcoming Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet 2026 (GRAM-2026) in Jaipur from May 23 to 25, aiming to promote smart and technology-driven agriculture and enhance farmer self-reliance.
Highlighting the government’s support for farmers, Chief Minister Sharma mentioned the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, where farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually from the Centre, supplemented by an additional Rs 3,000 from the Rajasthan Government. He also noted Rajasthan’s leading position in issuing policies under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and efforts to provide a bonus above the Minimum Support Price for wheat, along with ensuring daytime electricity supply for farmers by 2027.
The event saw the presence of Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Avinash Gehlot, MPs Madan Rathore and Rajendra Gehlot, MLA Balmukundacharya, former Union Minister Kailash Chaudhary, former MLA Prabhulal Saini, and members of the Saini community.
