Security forces in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh, carried out successful operations, demolishing 12 illegal Maoist memorials to combat Maoist influence and promote peace in the region. In the Pillur forest, the CRPF Battalion discovered seven memorials near Bade Kakler and Pulgundam villages, neutralizing two beer bottle IEDs found nearby.
Troops also razed a 12-foot tall Maoist memorial in the Mallur forest and demolished three memorials near Palanar village and one in Peddakorma village. These actions are part of a broader strategy to eliminate symbols of Maoist violence and propaganda, aiming to break the psychological hold of fear on local communities and reinforce government presence.
The demolition of these structures not only physically removes Maoist symbols but also prevents their re-establishment, fostering an environment of lasting peace and development in the region. This effort aligns with the government’s commitment to eradicating Naxalism and ensuring progress and security in the area.
