Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur reminisced about his school days in Delhi, where he used to ride a Tanga to school before transitioning to a bicycle for the journey from Nizamuddin to Barakhamba Road. He fondly recalled stopping to eat jamuns from the trees near India Gate, often causing him to be late for school.
Shekhar, known for ‘Mr India,’ shared these memories on his Twitter handle, highlighting his transition from childhood adventures to his current deep involvement in AI. Currently, he is busy working on the highly awaited sequel, “Masoom: The New Generation,” featuring his daughter Kaveri Kapur.
In addition to the sequel, Shekhar has teamed up with renowned composer A.R. Rahman for an upcoming project. The duo, known for their past collaborations on projects like “Elizabeth – The Golden Age” and musical productions, are set to bring their creative synergy to new heights.
Expressing his excitement for revisiting the ‘Masoom’ universe, Shekhar emphasized the need to explore its timeless themes in the context of modern society. He believes that cinema should evolve alongside changing ideas of families, relationships, and identity.
