A tragic incident in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, has left the community in disbelief after an 18-year-old girl and her brother-in-law were found dead in a locked room following three gunshots. The unsettling event took place in Basdila Buzurg village under the Tamkuhi Raj police station area.
Authorities suspect the tragedy stemmed from a suspected romantic involvement and obsessive behavior. Initial investigations suggest that the man shot his sister-in-law before turning the gun on himself. The deceased man, identified as 25-year-old Jitendra Prajapati from Bihar’s Gopalganj district, was married to Naina’s elder sister, Baby.
Jitendra, who had been visiting his in-laws in Basdila Buzurg village, reportedly developed a close bond with Naina, leading to alleged pressure on the family for their marriage. The situation escalated on the morning of the incident when Naina went to serve breakfast to Jitendra in his locked room.
Family members intervened upon hearing a heated argument between the two, only to be met with gunshots. The tragic outcome shocked the village, prompting police response and the discovery of the victims with severe gunshot wounds. Naina, a promising student and tutor, and Jitendra were pronounced dead at the scene.
