At least three people died, and one person got injured when a speeding car lost control and hit a tree in Pakistan’s Punjab province. The tragic incident took place in Fateh Jang city of Attock district late Saturday night. Rescue teams quickly responded, moving the bodies to a nearby hospital for formalities. The injured individual received immediate first aid and was later taken to the hospital for further care.
The accident was attributed to overspeeding, according to a rescue official. This unfortunate event follows a series of road accidents in Pakistan, including one where 23 individuals lost their lives. In Balochistan, nine people were killed and 36 injured when a coach overturned on the Makran Coastal Highway near Gwadar. Another tragic incident in Punjab’s Sargodha district claimed the lives of 14 individuals after a mini-truck plunged into a dry canal due to dense fog.
In the Sargodha accident, seven people died on the spot, with seven more succumbing to injuries during treatment at nearby medical facilities. The truck was carrying 23 passengers from Islamabad to Faisalabad for a funeral, navigating a local route due to motorway closures caused by fog. Among the deceased were women and children from Islamabad.
