Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay of Tamil Nadu affirmed the government’s commitment to protecting the state’s rights and interests while fostering a positive relationship with the Union government. Emphasizing development and welfare as top priorities, Vijay assured a transparent, corruption-free, and people-centric administration under the Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leadership.
In response to criticisms during the Assembly debate, Vijay criticized the previous DMK government for financial mismanagement, corruption, and misuse of public resources. He highlighted the current administration’s focus on good governance, accountability, and the welfare of all sectors, especially women, aiming for a transparent and safe environment.
The Chief Minister outlined plans to ensure transparency in public tenders, protect government revenues, and enhance employment opportunities through fair processes. While reiterating the party’s stance on federalism and state autonomy, Vijay clarified the opposition to the BJP but emphasized prioritizing Tamil Nadu’s development without compromising on state rights or policy principles.
Maintaining a firm stance on defending Tamil Nadu’s interests regarding federal rights and resource allocation, Vijay underscored the government’s dedication to the people, guided by principles of secularism and social justice. He dismissed claims of political alignment, asserting allegiance solely to the public and rejecting attempts to sow confusion on state matters.
