Preparations for the reopening of schools post-summer vacation have become a top priority for the new Tamil Nadu government. Chief Minister Vijay, along with School Education Minister Rajmohan and senior officials, discussed readiness at the Secretariat in Chennai. With schools set to resume soon and Class 10 exam results nearing release, the Chief Minister assessed preparedness and the School Education Department’s operations.
The government officials also examined upcoming initiatives and programs in the education sector for the following months. These discussions were part of a series of administrative meetings initiated by Vijay after assuming office. The Vijay-led TVK party secured a significant victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, leading to the actor-turned-politician becoming Chief Minister.
In a crucial internal review post-portfolio allocation, CM Vijay met with all nine ministers to outline expectations and priorities. He emphasized efficient governance and the prompt implementation of policies during these interactions. Discussions also revolved around the government’s administrative strategy and the importance of effective service delivery across various sectors.
Following the meetings with Vijay, the ministers engaged in separate discussions with senior officials in their departments to assess ongoing work and identify immediate tasks. The School Education Department received special focus due to the upcoming academic calendar and the need for seamless arrangements as students return to classrooms after the break. School Education Minister Rajmohan further held detailed consultations with departmental officials on current programs and plans.
These early consultations signify the new government’s swift establishment of its administrative framework and the governance direction in the initial phase of the Vijay administration.
