Tata Motors Reports 32% Increase in February 2026 Sales

Tata Motors Limited announced a significant 32% year-on-year surge in total sales for February 2026. The company sold 42,940 vehicles in both domestic and international markets during the month, a notable increase from 32,533 units sold in February 2025. Domestic sales reached 40,893 units, showcasing a robust growth of 32.8% compared to the same period last year.

The company’s international business also demonstrated steady progress, with sales climbing by 17.9% to 2,047 units from 1,736 units a year ago. This growth was primarily attributed to a strong performance across various truck and commercial vehicle categories. Sales of heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) trucks surged by 37.1% to 13,559 units in February 2026, up from 9,892 units in the previous year.

Intermediate, light, and medium commercial vehicle (ILMCV) trucks witnessed a 34.1% increase, reaching 7,577 units compared to 5,652 units in February 2025. Passenger carrier sales also saw improvement, rising by 27.4% year-on-year to 5,548 units. The small commercial vehicle (SCV) cargo and pickup segment reported a growth of 30.4%, with sales increasing to 14,209 units from 10,898 units in the corresponding period last year.

In the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (MH&ICV) segment, domestic sales hit 21,423 units in February 2026, reflecting a 34.4% growth from 15,940 units in February 2025. Including international markets, MH&ICV sales stood at 22,512 units, marking a 34.9% increase from the same month last year.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited also noted a 47.1% year-on-year rise in sales for January 2026, totaling 71,066 units in the domestic and international markets, including electric vehicles (EV). This figure was significantly higher than the 48,316 units sold in January 2025. Domestic sales of passenger vehicles, including EVs, surged by 46.1% year-on-year to 70,222 units in January 2026 from 48,076 units a year earlier. Additionally, international business sales for passenger vehicles reached 844 units in January 2026, showing a substantial 251.7% increase from 240 units in January 2025.
