Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS) leader K. Kavitha has called on the Telangana government to enforce the 10-year age relaxation announced in 2024 for recruitments through the State Public Service Commission. She criticized the notification issued by the Public Service Commission for 20 Assistant Scientist posts in the Pollution Control Board, which sets an age eligibility range of 18-34 years. Kavitha, who recently launched a new political party, threatened a large-scale protest if the government does not revoke the April 20 notification and implement Government Order (GO) 30 from 2024 without restrictions.
Kavitha highlighted the unfulfilled promises of job creation by the ruling Congress party, emphasizing the failure to release job notifications despite coming to power with the support of unemployed voters. She pointed out that the government had extended the age relaxation for employment eligibility from 44 to 46 years in 2024 but had not issued any job notifications since then. The TRS leader criticized the recent notification for Assistant Scientist positions, stating that it contradicted the previous age relaxation policy and was unfair to job seekers.
Expressing solidarity with the unemployed individuals who played a significant role in the Telangana movement, Kavitha demanded the cancellation of Notification No. 01/OG/PC/2026 issued by the Public Service Commission on April 20. She insisted on the implementation of G.O. 30 without restrictions and warned of a major protest if the government fails to meet their demands.
