The coaching institute owned by popular educator Khan Sir in Patna faced tension following an attack on its premises at night, causing concern among students and educators. The incident involved vandalism and assault by unidentified individuals on the coaching center, where a security guard was reportedly attacked. Despite students arriving for classes on Wednesday, Khan Sir decided to cancel all classes for the day due to the situation.
Slogans in support of Khan Sir reverberated as students gathered outside the institute, with many staging a sit-in protest on the road demanding enhanced security measures. The students vowed to continue their demonstration until assurances of the educator’s safety were provided by the administration. Khan Sir, addressing the students, emphasized the institute’s commitment to education and urged for peaceful behavior.
One of the security guards at the institute sustained severe injuries during the attack, with a deep head wound, and has been hospitalized for treatment at Patna Medical College and Hospital. Khan Sir highlighted that the attack occurred after the shifts of several guards had ended, expressing concern for the injured guard’s well-being. Allegations of gunfire emerged initially, but subsequent investigations revealed no evidence of shooting, as confirmed by the Patna Police.
Khan Sir hinted at possible threats due to his efforts in offering affordable education to underprivileged students, without directly accusing any specific entity. He commended the response of the administration and Bihar Police for their presence and efforts in maintaining order at the site post-incident.
