Thousands of tribal people from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli convened at Mangarh Dham in Banswara for a significant event. Organized by the ‘Bhil Pradesh Mukti Morcha’, the gathering emphasized the need for a new state called ‘Bhil Pradesh’.
Rajkumar Roat, MP for the Banswara-Dungarpur Lok Sabha constituency, highlighted the region’s neglect by governments across four states, leading to underdevelopment. Vinod Kumar Kharadi, District Vice President of the Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP), emphasized the event’s aim to advocate for tribal rights and push for the establishment of ‘Bhil Pradesh’.
The event, focused on tribal rights, aimed to address the lack of development in tribal areas even after years of independence. The demand for a separate ‘Bhil Pradesh’ state was underscored as essential to unite scattered tribal regions and protect those in border areas from existing challenges.
Under the guidance of Bhanwarlal Parmar and tribal community members, the convention concluded peacefully. Notably, the annual event on July 17 featured speeches from various leaders, including Rajesh Vasuniya and Ravindra Barjod, stressing the importance of tribal welfare and the need for a consolidated ‘Bhil Pradesh’.
