The death of Twisha Sharma has taken a new twist as her father, Navnidhi Sharma, accuses authorities of a possible conspiracy and refuses to accept her body without a second post-mortem. Efforts to locate the main accused, Samarth Singh, have intensified with a lookout notice issued against him and police teams searching in multiple states. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed, and cases have been filed against Twisha’s husband and mother-in-law under dowry death and harassment provisions.
The police are striving to apprehend Samarth promptly, circulating a lookout notice at airports and border checkpoints to prevent his escape. Additionally, steps have been initiated to revoke Samarth’s passport to thwart any potential attempt to flee abroad. Multiple teams are deployed for the search operation within and outside Madhya Pradesh, as confirmed by Misrod Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajnish Kashyap.
The case took a new direction following the post-mortem report from AIIMS Bhopal, which highlighted multiple injury marks on Twisha Sharma’s body. The absence of the alleged hanging belt during the medical examination has raised concerns about the evidentiary value. Twisha’s family insists on a fresh post-mortem, citing discrepancies between medical reports and physical evidence, expressing frustration over delays in obtaining permission for the second examination.
Navnidhi Sharma expressed anguish over what he perceives as attempts to mislead the investigation, emphasizing the need for a transparent process. Twisha’s mother, Rekha Sharma, voiced the family’s struggles in seeking justice, urging for a transfer of the case to Delhi. Meanwhile, Giribala Singh, Samarth’s mother, refuted dowry allegations, questioning financial claims and raising concerns about Twisha’s mental health, adding complexity to the ongoing investigation.
