Two Jewish pedestrians were stabbed in a north-west London neighborhood by a man, in what authorities have labeled a “terror attack.” The incident, which occurred earlier in the day, involved a man armed with a knife randomly targeting Jewish pedestrians. The suspect was subdued with a Taser and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The victims, aged 76 and 34, sustained stab wounds and are currently hospitalized. The suspect, a 45-year-old man, has a history of serious violence and mental health issues. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed deep concern over the incident and vowed to make the local Jewish community feel safe and combat antisemitism.
Following the attack, London Mayor Sadiq Khan condemned the antisemitic violence, emphasizing that there is no place for such behavior in society. The stabbing comes in the wake of a series of arson attacks targeting Jewish sites in the city. Authorities have heightened security measures to protect the Jewish community in response to these incidents.
