Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed his appreciation for the outcomes of the recent Assembly elections in five states, noting that they signify public trust in democracy. He thanked the voters for their participation, emphasizing that their engagement strengthens the democratic fabric of the nation.
Pradhan commended the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for securing majority governments in three of the five states. He credited this success to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP’s policies that resonate with the people.
While acknowledging the electoral victories, Pradhan emphasized that these results should be viewed as a call for increased accountability rather than mere achievements. He highlighted the responsibility that comes with the trust placed by citizens in the NDA and BJP across multiple states.
In response to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s allegations against the Election Commission of India, Pradhan dismissed the claims as a reaction to electoral defeat. He urged Banerjee to accept the election results gracefully, stating that the people have already made their choice.
