Union Minister Giriraj Singh criticized Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi, stating that he lacks vision and likening him to the last Mughal emperor. Singh expressed disappointment in Gandhi’s conduct in Parliament, highlighting his failure to meet the expected responsibilities of the LoP.
Singh further accused Rahul Gandhi of lacking vision and behaving like an urban Naxalite instead of providing essential information to the House as the LoP. He questioned Gandhi’s tendency to avoid discussions and votes, emphasizing the need for active participation in parliamentary proceedings.
The political tension between the BJP and Congress escalated as Singh’s comments followed Gandhi’s support for a protest by Indian Youth Congress workers at an AI Impact Summit. The BJP criticized the protest, labeling it as anti-India and accusing Gandhi of promoting activities that tarnish the country’s image.
Rahul Gandhi, on the other hand, accused the government of evading a discussion on the West Asia situation in Parliament. He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was avoiding scrutiny and claimed that the government feared exposure regarding its handling of the situation. Gandhi emphasized the importance of discussing issues like rising fuel prices and their impact on the economy.
