Union Minister for Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs, Pralhad Joshi, has criticized the Congress government in Karnataka for focusing on price hikes, appeasement politics, and internal power struggles among Members of the Legislative Assembly and ministers. Joshi accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of criticizing others instead of addressing issues within his own administration.
Joshi challenged Siddaramaiah to address his government’s administrative failures and internal power struggles before criticizing Prime Minister Modi. He highlighted what he called numerous administrative shortcomings of the State government and criticized its governance.
The Union Minister accused the Congress government of pushing Karnataka into a debt trap under the guise of guarantee schemes. He also pointed out the standstill in development activities, poor road conditions, delayed payments to contractors, and the burden of rising prices on the common people.
Joshi defended PM Modi’s leadership, stating that India’s economy has improved under his tenure. He called out Siddaramaiah for allegedly mismanaging Karnataka’s economy and governance, leading to increased debt and revenue deficit levels.
