Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted that the Uttarakhand Budget 2026-27 focuses on inclusive development, ensuring equitable distribution of government scheme benefits. The budget prioritizes various societal segments, including farmers, the underprivileged, youth, Scheduled Castes, and border residents.
Dhami emphasized the need for comprehensive development across all sectors and regions of the state. He underlined the importance of progress in every sector, especially in border areas, to extend the reach of government initiatives to the most remote individuals.
The Chief Minister expressed the state’s commitment to accelerating progress through innovation, scheme expansion, and timely project completion. He emphasized the importance of swift advancement, the expansion of innovative programs, and the timely execution of existing and new projects.
Furthermore, the budget allocates sufficient funds for capital expenditure to ensure the timely implementation of development projects. Dhami aligned the budget with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to make the current decade transformative for Uttarakhand.
Dhami urged the Opposition to engage constructively amidst Assembly disruptions, emphasizing the collective responsibility of all parties in driving democratic processes. He also reassured smooth conduct of the annual Char Dham Yatra pilgrimage this year.
The Rs 1.11 lakh crore Budget for 2026–27, based on the “GYAN” model, was presented during the Uttarakhand Assembly’s Budget Session, focusing on the welfare of the marginalized, youth empowerment, farmer support, women’s empowerment, and infrastructure, tourism, technology, and social welfare enhancements.
