Vaibhavi Merchant, returning with the film “Eetha,” shared her thoughts on choreographing the Lavani sequences. She emphasized the cultural significance of Lavani, describing it as a vibrant and expressive folk dance tradition that embodies generations of culture and artistry. Vaibhavi expressed her aim to showcase Lavani authentically and grandly in “Eetha” to introduce this art form to a wider global audience.
The title track of “Eetha” pays tribute to the renowned Lavani artist Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar. The song, featuring Shraddha Kapoor, aims to honor Vithabai’s immense contribution to Maharashtra’s cultural heritage. The film’s teaser, released on social media, delves into Vithabai’s inspiring journey, highlighting her dedication to Lavani despite various challenges she faced.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, “Eetha” stars Shraddha Kapoor, Randeep Hooda, and Anant Joshi. Produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner, the movie is scheduled to hit cinemas on 28th August.
