Expressing deep concern over reported atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh, Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) International President Alok Kumar highlighted the brutality and cruelty associated with political Islam. Kumar emphasized that this violence pattern has persisted since 1946, urging global awareness and action. He called on countries with Hindu populations to pressurize Bangladesh to curb the ongoing atrocities against Hindus.
Alok Kumar also criticized the silence of certain Muslim organizations regarding the recent violence in Bangladesh. He questioned the definition of religious intolerance, citing a case where a man was murdered for allegedly disrespecting Islam by advocating religious equality. The VHP President emphasized the need for global reflection on such extremist ideologies.
Recent incidents in Bangladesh have seen two Hindu men killed within 24 hours, escalating violence against religious minorities. The victims, including a businessman and an editor, were targeted in separate attacks, raising concerns over the rising trend of violence against Hindus in the country. These attacks underscore a troubling surge in violence targeting Hindu communities in Bangladesh.
