Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan participated in the inauguration of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp 2026 in Delhi. Praising the NCC’s role in youth development and nation-building, he highlighted the organization’s motto of “Unity and Discipline.” Radhakrishnan commended the NCC for shaping confident and values-driven youth crucial for a developed India by 2047.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the Vice President emphasized the importance of creating a skilled, disciplined, and service-oriented youth for an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. He acknowledged the significant contribution of NCC cadets during Operation Sindoor, where 72,000 cadets volunteered for civil defense duties, showcasing commitment and readiness to serve the nation.
Recognizing the NCC’s efforts in molding responsible and service-oriented youth, the Vice President praised the cadets for their exceptional service during Operation Sindoor and disaster relief activities. He highlighted the NCC Republic Day Camp as a reflection of India’s unity and constitutional values, where cadets from various regions come together to train and live, embodying national unity.
The Vice President lauded NCC cadets for their achievements in adventure activities, international youth exchange programs, and disaster relief initiatives, including their commendable service during the Wayanad floods in Kerala. The camp, hosting 2,406 cadets, also welcomes participants from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, the Northeast Region, and 25 friendly countries under the Youth Exchange Programme. The event will be graced by several dignitaries and will conclude with the PM’s Rally on January 28.
