A violent clash erupted in Chhoti Pali village, Bihar, resulting in the tragic deaths of two youths and leaving two others critically injured in a knife attack. The deceased were identified as Mohammad Kashif and Mohammad Ahmed, both 22 years old. Mohammad Atif, another family member, also sustained serious stab wounds during the incident.
The violence also led to injuries to Najjan Parveen from the opposing side. Authorities swiftly responded to the scene, transporting the injured to a nearby hospital for initial treatment. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were later transferred to Nawada Sadar Hospital and then to Patna Medical College and Hospital for advanced medical care.
The clash has instilled fear and tension in the village, with a cousin of the deceased alleging that his family had been threatened by the opposing faction prior to the fatal attack. The cousin claimed that the assailants had openly threatened them just an hour before the tragic incident.
According to the cousin, the conflict stemmed from a previous incident six months ago, where the accused had harassed his cousin publicly. Despite lodging a complaint with the police at that time, the recent attack resulted in the deaths of Kashif and Ahmed, with Atif being injured while trying to intervene.
The accused side, however, presented a different narrative, attributing the dispute to a long-standing land conflict among relatives. They claimed that a third party had been fueling hostility between the families, leading to previous clashes and arrests. The police are actively investigating the matter and gathering statements from both sides to ascertain the sequence of events.
