West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh criticized former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for alleging ‘illegal houses’ in Gujarat without proof. Ghosh questioned the basis of her claim and pointed out that even her own house might be illegal. He also dismissed Banerjee’s recent protest in Kolkata, stating that it lacked significant support and was attended by people with no other options.
Ghosh further criticized the Trinamool leadership, highlighting the shift in behavior towards BJP leaders. He emphasized that the public is aware of their actions and will judge them accordingly. These remarks followed Banerjee’s protest against alleged attacks on Trinamool workers after the BJP’s victory in West Bengal.
Banerjee, during the protest, vowed to continue her fight against the BJP, calling it a crucial battle. She accused some individuals of betraying the Trinamool Congress and announced plans for anti-BJP parties to strategize in Delhi. Banerjee also expressed facing unprecedented challenges post-election, unlike past chief ministers in West Bengal.
Despite facing obstacles at the protest venue, including denial of preferred locations, Banerjee affirmed her support for party workers. She declared her commitment to standing by them, even if other leaders decide to depart.
